Mexican Gold Back

The Mexican goldenback is a species of spider in the family Tarantulaidae. Measuring 3 to 4 inches (70 to 100 millimeters) in length, with a lifespan of more than 20 years, it is large and prosperous. Female spiders are often simple earthy red in color. Male black legs, head, chest and abdomen are copper-red. Their holes can be as large as 1 to 2 inches (25 to 50 mm). This kind of spider, which is produced in hot areas of the Americas, is venomous.
