Black-browed Golden Snake
Although the Black-browed Elephant Snake is very large, fortunately it is a non-venomous snake and is relatively safe in captivity. Its adult body length can reach about 2 meters. This snake likes to eat rats and is known as the "house snake" in the south and is known as the "rat-catching king".
The head and back of the Black-browed Elephant Snake are yellow-green or brown-grey; there is a prominent black stripe behind the eyes, which is also an important basis for naming the snake; there are black trapezoidal or butterfly-shaped patterns on the front and middle sections of the back of the body. It is slightly like a scale star, so it is also called a scale star snake; from the middle part of the body back, the pattern gradually disappears, but there are 4 clear black stripes running straight to the tail end, with several rows of dorsal scales in the middle with weak ribs.
The important and distinctive feature of the Black-browed Elephant Snake is that there are two obvious black patterns behind the eyes that spread to the neck, resembling black eyebrows, so it is known as the "Black-browed Elephant Snake". The back is brownish gray or khaki, and there are obvious black stripes on both sides starting from the middle part of the body and ending at the end. There are 4 black stripes on the back of the body extending to the tip of the tail. The abdomen is grayish white, and the body length is about 1.7 meters or more, and the larger one is about 2.3 meters
