Red Sea Knight

Red Sea Knight, also known as the Arabian tang, belongs to the category of tang fish. It is relatively easy to raise garfish in artificial captivity. However, Red Sea Knights are somewhat aggressive, so it is recommended not to co-culture them with other tangs and wrasse.

The adult fish of Red Sea Knight has an oval body length and flat sides. The mouth is small, end-positioned, with a row of flat teeth on the left and right jaws. The teeth are fixed and not movable, and the tooth edges are notched. The hard spines of the dorsal fin and anal fin are sharp, and the fin rays are not extended; the caudal fin is crescent-shaped; the caudal peduncle spines are sharp and extremely long. The upper part of the body is blue-gray and the lower part is milky white; the headrest and about 3/4 of the body side have more than 20 light blue to blue-brown horizontal stripes, and several of the upper parts extend to the dorsal fin; the pelvic fin is black with a blue edge; the pectoral fin Light yellow with a black edge, and an orange-yellow spot around the base; the dorsal and anal fins are black with a blue edge; the caudal fin is blue-gray, and the caudal fin is dark brown with a blue edge.

The tail spine of the Red Sea Knight is located at the front end of the tail peduncle and is orange-red. The difference between Acanthurus lineatus and Acanthurus lineatus lies in the body color. Acanthurus lineatus is mainly yellow, while Acanthurus lineatus is mainly blue, and the color of the head and fins are different, making it easy to distinguish.
